What we collect

Nothing. Mempossum is a read-only Bitcoin blockchain visualizer. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking.

Where the data comes from

All on-chain data shown in the app is fetched directly from the public mempool.space REST and WebSocket endpoints. When you use the iOS app, those requests go over standard HTTPS / WSS straight from your device to mempool.space. We do not proxy or log traffic.

Camera access (iOS)

The iOS app can ask for camera access if you tap the QR scanner button. Frames are processed entirely on-device by Apple's AVFoundation framework to decode QR / barcode payloads. No video, photo, or scan content leaves your phone.

Notifications & background activity (iOS)

Optional local notifications fire from your device when a new block arrives or the fastest fee crosses a threshold you set. These alerts are generated locally using BGAppRefreshTask; nothing is sent to a server.

Live Activities (Dynamic Island) used to track an unconfirmed transaction run on-device and use Apple's ActivityKit. The push token issued by iOS for ActivityKit is not transmitted to any server in this version of the app.

Widgets (iOS)

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a snapshot of the latest block height and fee rates from a shared container that the main app writes to. No remote storage involved.
